Takizawa Hideya (滝沢秀耶), or Hide, is a sword-bearing student at Tenchi Academy. Formerly the shinyuu of Himuro Meiko, she is now the shinyuu of Imai Rose-Anna Tsubaki.
Character[]
Ill-natured, short-tempered, arrogant, and malicious, Hideya's personality is not tailored to win the good graces of others. She is evidently prone to feeling high levels of "stress", her favorite word. She refers to herself in the third person with her personal nickname, "Hide."
Her partnership with Meiko appears to have been brief, and possibly to have ended with Meiko effectively dumping her. Whatever the case, Hideya seems to feel she still has something to prove to her previous shinyuu.
She is named for entertainer Takizawa Hideaki.

- Though Hideya herself does not appear until Volume 15, her existence is alluded to here. Sae comments that Meiko seems pleased with her "current" shinyuu, suggesting a previous shinyuu that did not please her (136).
